Get to Know Love by Lisa
Hey guys! Lisa Hunter here, the creator of Love by Lisa! For background, Love by Lisa is my own personal brand, separate from Meet The Hunters (which focuses more on Matt and me, including our business, our Vacation Rentals, and the other things we do), where I share some of my advice as a wife, mother, home designer, and content creator! So with that being said, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a bit about my brand and what to expect in 2023.
Love by Lisa has actually been around for about seven years. It began when I signed up with a direct sales business to sell personalized jewelry. At the time, I was on Facebook a lot, and the company encouraged us sellers to create a Facebook group and build a community. That way, we could build authentic relationships with those buying our products. I wanted to choose a name that wasn’t just the name of the company or something bland and generic. So, I came up with “Love by Lisa” because I wanted to use the group to share everything I loved! While the primary purpose was to share the jewelry I was selling, I also used it to share other things, such as outfits, recipes, and my family!
When I first started using Instagram, I first used my name, Lisa Hunter. But then, I changed it to Love by Lisa a few years ago. My Journey to Designing and Influencing
The truth is that I planned to become something other than a designer or an influencer. It grew organically because people asked me how I did something or where I bought something. Nevertheless, I still am just as in love with it as if I had always dreamt of becoming an influencer! In terms of designing, I didn’t 100% lean into it until Matt, and I started our Vacation Rental Homes. I got to gut, remodel, design, and decorate homes, and I absolutely loved it. We’ve done three rental properties, and I always work on our own home. Keep your eyes out for a fourth rental coming to you in 2023! So, I’m not formally trained in design, but I really enjoy it. I have a good eye for it, and I now have some experience. I keep getting messages and comments from people saying they love my designs and want something similar. It isn’t me saying how awesome I am but rather sharing that I’ve built an incredible community around it.
What I Love About Designing
I love every step in the process of designing, from planning things to shopping. But one of my favorite parts is when everything is done, and I can see the finished result. This is especially true when I use vision boards and can compare the finished space to my vision board. Keep your eyes peeled for some tips and tricks on interior design on my Instagram!

Because of my passion for sharing things with others, I also use LIKEtoKNOW.it to share the items I use to decorate our homes. For anyone unfamiliar with this platform, it is a way for me to upload decorations that I use for everyone to see, and it includes a link so anyone who wants to purchase the same piece can find where I bought it from. If you check out my profile and see something you like, click on the item, and it’ll be on your doorstep before you know it!
This platform has been excellent for me to use so I can create a community around my way to shop while helping others decorate a room (myself included!) I regularly look at other influencers’ content to find new brands.
My Plans for My Community
Consulting is one of my primary goals for 2023, and I’m excited to look into it. I aim to see if consulting is something I enjoy doing and that people would find helpful. I know that some people find shopping for home décor stressful and overwhelming. After all, everyone has different strengths, but I have a good eye and know how to put things together. I know this process can be a relatable, engaging, and enjoyable experience for anyone who wants to learn!
In 2023 I am also working to build an online community on Instagram and LIKEtoKNOW.it. I want to create an uplifting, positive community where women can easily shop for my outfits and home décor. I feel like my suggestions and style are relatable as I’m not a size zero and my home décor choices tend to be on-trend and popular as well!
What to Look Forward To
In 2023, I plan to grow my community, especially on Instagram. I want to create a supportive and positive community there. I’m also excited to share more on LIKEtoKNOW.it and explore designing and consulting for others.
