It's Lisa here! After Matt's blog last month, it's my turn to take the reins on our "Meet the Hunters" blog. When I thought about what I wanted  to share I had no problems because lately my inbox has been full to the top with questions looking for the perfect pieces to spice up their spaces for their summer. I have clients looking to freshen up their spaces and others “building from the ground up.” So I’ve been getting so much inspiration and spending so much time in the trenches I thought, “what better time than to share this with the rest of our followers!

For those who might not know, I started my interior design business a year and a half ago, in January 2023. It’s been an incredible journey so far, from designing the perfect office bookshelf to managing new construction builds. My husband Matt and I have tackled it all, but my absolute favorite part is the design piece.

Lately, I’ve had a few different projects, and I noticed I’ve been gathering similar inspiration for each client. So, I decided to compile a list of my current summer favorites and share them with you all. Whether you’re looking to spice up an existing space or create something new, I hope you find a little inspiration in my style and design.

Favorite Coffee Tables

Finding the perfect coffee table can be a journey—sometimes taking months or even years to find the one that fits just right. When picking out a coffee table, consider factors like size, shape, material, and functionality. It should complement your existing furniture while also serving your needs. Here are some client favorites we’ve collected over the past few month. Here are some helpful texture and material tips to keep in mind when looking for coffee tables:

1. Rustic Wood Coffee Table: This piece adds warmth and a touch of nature to any living room.
2. Glass Top Coffee Table: Perfect for small spaces, it creates an illusion of more space while keeping things chic.
3. Marble Coffee Table: Adds a luxurious feel to the room, pairing well with both modern and classic decor.

Coffee Table Styling

Designing a coffee table is much harder than it looks. Depending on the functionality of your living room, a lot can go into creating the perfect look. You want to strike a balance between style and practicality. Here are some styling tips I’m currently obsessed with:

• Layering: Start with a tray to anchor your items, then add a stack of books, a small plant, and a decorative object.
• Balance: Keep it balanced by mixing heights and textures. A combination of metal, wood, and ceramics can look stunning.
• Functionality: If your coffee table serves as a place for snacks and drinks, leave enough space for everyday use.

Bedroom Must-Haves

In my personal opinion, less is more when it comes to a bedroom. I love a clean, sleek yet cozy look. It can be challenging, especially with ever-changing trends, to find the perfect pieces. If you don’t know where to start and you are on a “DIY” journey. Consider these 3 main pillars of your bedroom to look for inspiration first. 

1. Lamps: Soft, ambient lighting is essential. Look for lamps that blend style with functionality.
2. Bedding: High-quality, neutral bedding can create a serene environment. Add a pop of color with throw pillows or a blanket.
3. Candles: My perfect bedroom candle adds a touch of warmth and a soothing scent to wind down your day.

I love sharing these must-haves because they’ve not only found a place in my clients' homes but also in our own home and multiple Airbnbs. There are so many appliances out there, and I’ve picked out the best:

• Toaster: For that perfect avocado toast, this aesthetically pleasing toaster is a must.
• Crockpot: A versatile and stylish addition to any kitchen, perfect for easy meals.
• Air Fryer: Healthy and convenient, it’s a staple in our home.
